Compatibility to Cellphones
FISCON Bluetooth handsfree kits supports an extensive number of cellphones.
No matter if you have Apple iPhone, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG, Motorola,
Blackberry, Sagem, Siemens, i-Mate, PalmOne or another of the supported brands,
the compatibility list reads like a who's who of top cellphones models. Additionally,
less well-known phones which are used primarily in the B2B sector are supported.
The firmware of a FISCON handsfree is to be continuously adapted to new cellphones.
In just a few minutes you can update the firmware
with a notebook using a Bluetooth connection. It is not required to remove the
interface from the car. Updates allow you to use your FISCON handsfree also
with the next generations of mobile phones.
The usage of the functions of a FISCON Bluetooth handsfree is partial dependent
on the capabilities of the cellphone.
Information on A2DP:
A2DP is a producer overlapping technique which allows to send stereo audio
signals via Bluetooth to a playback device. Frequently the feature works
together with AVRCP to remote control the player. In practice, this means
that MP3 files which are stored on a cellphone can be streamed via Bluetooth
to the sound system of the vehicle. The control of the MP3 player integrated
in the cellphone takes place with the buttons of the vehicle. Furthermore
it is possible to play commands of a phone integrated navigation system
on the car soundsystem.
It is required that the cellphone supports A2DP for this function to be
used.

Information on Phonebook Synchronization:
The records of the phonebook can be shown and chosen on the display of
the navigation and/or the FIS screen. This eases setting up a call considerably,
but the cellphone must support supplying data to enable this function.
Depending on their capabilities the cellphones can transfer the data of
the SIM card, of their own phonebook or for both of them.

Information on Call Lists:
Lists of missed, incomming and connected calls are stored in the cellphone.
A FISCON handsfree kit can upload and display this data on the navigation
and/or the FIS screen. This makes it easy to return missed calls without
handling the cellphone. Some cellphones show the calling list records
since they were connected to the FISCON handsfree. Most cellphones are
also able to show old calling list records.
